The work organization of Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature consists of Ernst Bruinsma (general management), Tryntsje van der Steege (project coordinator), Sito Wijngaarden (project employee), Berber van Oyen-Peenstra (marketing coordinator), Grietje Deinum (communication).
Commissioning authorities
The authorities commissioning the programme are the municipality of Leeuwarden, the province of Fryslân and LF2028.
Advisory board
The committee is responsible for delivering a high-quality programme. This of course requires the participation and support of all organisations involved in the field of language and literature in Leeuwarden and Fryslân. Therefore, the committee confers with an advisory board that offers solicited and unsolicited advice. The advisory board is formed by representatives of Afûk, Explore the North, FERS, it Skriuwersboun and Tresoar. Other partners include Historisch Centrum Leeuwarden, Fryske Akademy, Omrop Fryslân and the University of Groningen Fryslân Campus.
